Because the generator on this vehicle is mounted to the left crankcase cover, the flywheel is mounted toward the outside (shaft tip).
This causes the rotating weight of the heavy flywheel to be positioned further outward than the tip of the crankshaft, doubling the load during acceleration and deceleration in engines with improved pickup. This can cause interference between the generator and flywheel, adversely affecting ignition timing and, in the worst case, potentially damaging the crankshaft.
This product incorporates ball bearings in the stator, changing the crankshaft journal from two-point support to three-point support, limiting crankshaft wobble that occurs at high engine speeds. This limiting wobble reduces wobble and increases the durability of the stock crankshaft.
Patented structure
There is no need to replace the crankshaft, and by attaching it to the genuine part, the crankshaft journal can be supported at three points.
Notes
*Please check the stock crankshaft you are currently using before purchasing. If the crankshaft is out of alignment more than the standard value, you will need to either align it or replace it.
